An interactive equine assisted parenting class allowing parents to build better a relationship with their children. Skills to include: conflict management and communication

Step out of the classroom and into the corral with HorsePowered Reading and Math.  Not only do we work on academic skills, children also work in the issues that keep them from learning in the classroom.

BRAVEHEARTS uses horses to interact with people (of all ages) in all walks of life in an outdoor arena with a certified mental health specialist.  Clients learn to view and experience life in a new, positive way.

Connecting with horses to facilitate growth, learning and healing in individuals, families and groups

BRAVEHEARTS is a donation based 501(c)(3)non-profit organization and a component fund of the Kearney Area Community Foundation  in Kearney, Nebraska.

We incorporate horses to create an environment where healing and transformations can take place.

Summer Programs

Because of a grant from the Snow Redfern Foundation, we have expanded our summer programs to include preschool through 11th grade.

We were able to purchase some fun items - such as t-shirts, water bottles, new (much needed) props and other items.  This helps offset the cost of the programs.

Thank you Snow Redfern Foundation!

Looking to volunteer?

If you like working with children/youth and horses, then BraveHearts is the place for you!

If you prefer to work behind

the scenes, we have opportunities

for that, too!

  • Grant writers
  • Creating newsletters
  • Bookkeeping
  • Fundraising
  • Being a member the Board of Directors.

Did you know that the actual cost to participate in our equine-assisted activities is $60 per hour per person?

However,  thanks to our generous donors - like you -  it is now possible for everyone to reap the benefits of interacting with horses  regardless of income level.

We take a different approach to healing and learning!

Coaching workshops are available for individuals, families and couples and mentoring.

Equine Empowerment is for boys & girls ages 7-18. Focus is on self-regulation of emotions, building confidence and teamwork.
