Donna Posusta has been a life-long resident of the Riverdale area. She has raised and trained horses all her life.
Donna has assisted with Spectacular Rodeo with UNK students as a rodeo adviser. She has been involved with 4-H Horse Programs and the Nebraska Cattleman's Classic for many years.
PARENTING FROM THE BARN
An interacting equine-assisted parenting class allowing parents to build better relationships with their children. Skills to include conflict management and communication.
Coaching workshops are available for individuals, couples, families and mentoring groups
Equine Empowerment is for boys & girls ages 7-18. Focus is on self-regulating emotions and building self-confidence skills.
Step out of the classroom and into the corral with HorsePowered Reading -Math - Ponies & Preschool. Not only do the children work on academic skills, but they also work on the issues that keep them fromlearning in the classroom.
BRAVEHEARTS uses horses to reach out to people in all walks of life in a relaxed, informal setting. Learn to view and experience life in a new and positive way.
Greg Gangwish has worked with children and youth most of his personal life and professional career. He has a heart for helping them become who God created them to be. He personally enjoy horses and have great respect for the role they play in BraveHearts to impact the lives our youth so positively.
He is married to Carol Gangwish and recently moved back to Kearney from Minnesota in the spring of 2015. Carol and Greg have two grown daughters who are married and each have 4 children which adds up to 8 wonderful grandchildren!
Nancy Lyon & her husband, Dan, are co-founders of BraveHearts. They have four grown children and seven grandchildren. Her hobbies include riding motorcycles & horses, crafts & spoiling grandchildren.
She received a K-6 grade teaching degree and K-12 School Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She has recently retired from teaching - teaching at-risk youth. Her passion is creating equine-assisted educational and behavioral programs.

Melanie Zweiner Klingelhoefer is a native of Pleasanton, Nebraska. She currently resides in Amherst. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education, Secondary Education -History, Psychology and Social Sciences from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK). She also obtained a Masters of Science in K-12 School Counseling from UNK.
Melanie is a K-12 school counselor at Elm Creek Public Schools, Elm Creek, Nebraska. She enjoys, community theater, sewing, gardening, photography, reading and coaching softball and basketball.
Savannah Lyon is a native of Kearney, Nebraska. In 2019, she earned her Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
As the Director of Engagement and Promotion for Compass, she loves organizing fundraising events & developing programs. She loves connecting people to help the most vulnerable members of our community - children in foster care.
She and her children, Kailie and Gabe, love camping, spending time on the water and volunteering.
